Position: Attending Veterinarian
Job Description:
Lampire Biological Laboratories, Inc. is currently seeking an Attending Veterinarian. The position will be based in Bucks County, PA; travel between the company’s Bucks and Bedford County sites is required. The candidate will be responsible for animal welfare oversight companywide.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Direct oversight of Lampire’s Animal Care and Use Program
• Complete familiarization with all Animal Care and Use Programs associated SOPs
• Regularly and clearly communicated all Veterinary and Animal Care program needs to the Institutional Official
• Provide guidance to the animal care staff on all aspects of animal husbandry and housing.
• Provide guidance on animal procurement, quarantine, stabilization and biosecurity

Direct oversight of Lampire’s Veterinary Care Program:
• Oversee the preventative medicine and health surveillance, medical treatment, establishment of sedation, anesthetic and analgesic guidelines, handling, and immobilization
• Complete familiarization with all Veterinary Care Programs associated SOPs
• Maintain institutional compliance and supporting documentation with the requirements outlined in the Lampire Veterinary Care Program and all regulatory oversight bodies
• Provide guidance to the animal care staff on possible adverse clinical complications that may arise from experimental procedures
• Provide guidance and oversight to institutional surgery programs and perioperative care
• Maintain and coordinate veterinary care for all Lampire animal housing units in which a staff or private practice veterinarian is utilized
• Diagnosis, prescribe treatment and administrate necropsies for home base facilities
• Assist in maintaining medical record compliance for home base facilities
• Maintain communications of all veterinary care to the department or facility managers as required by the location of the animal housing unit
• Provide the I.O, IACUC, department or facility managers updated veterinary care information no less than the minimum requirement as outline in Lampire’s Veterinary Care Program

IACUC:
• Participate as a voting member of the IACUC including IACUC site visits.
• Provide input in protocol review, SOP review and the development of study removal criteria

Training:
• Provide institutional oversight and training for routine clinical procedures, surgical procedures and yearly refresher training

Other:
• Assist in preparation of investigation reports as part of the corrective and preventive action program when required
• Participation in animal welfare audits from regulatory compliance bodies and clients
• Assist in researching alternative methodologies as it relates to the study programs, veterinary and animal care
• Assist in the AAALAC program description maintenance.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with small ruminants
• Experience with cattle and rabbits preferred
• Farm animal husbandry background or experience a plus
• Experience with cGMP quality systems and manufacturing operations
• Ability to give directions and communicate effectively

Education:
• DVM or VMD from an accredited college of veterinary medicine, or foreign equivalent required; Licensure in Pennsylvania and Category II Federal Accreditation required
• Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM) preferred

Location: Everett, PA
Position: Small Animal Bleed Technician
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this individual is to provide proper care and handling of the rabbits while completing the daily production requirements which include but are not limited to the following; blood collection, administering injections, tissue harvest, and humane euthanasia procedures, all with the goal of providing consistent, high quality products and services to our customers.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Various blood collection procedures
• Humane euthanasia procedures
• Tissue Collection procedures
• Proper administration of various injection techniques
• Feeding, watering, and administering treatments, including observing and reporting signs of disease/illness and help treat minor cases of such findings.
• Clean and maintain lab rooms on a daily basis.
• Responsible for completing accurate reports and documentation records, including bleed and injection paperwork, daily maintenance sheet, room temperature log, and weekly animal treatments.
• Responsible for keeping accurate inventory of supplies needed
• Accurate verification and documentation of activities

Requirements:
• AALAS certification, and familiarity with USDA and AAALAC regulatory requirements a plus
• Good oral and written communication skills (English), mathematics skills, and good attention to detail are required.
• Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to give directions, train others and communicate effectively while working in a team oriented setting
• 2 years minimum of relevant working experience.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull at minimum 50lbs
• Experience with cGMP quality systems and manufacturing operations a plus
• Animal handling experience, specifically with rabbits a plus

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent preferred but not required

Position: Small Animal Weekend/Holiday Feeder
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this individual is the overall care and well-being of the rabbis. Will be responsible for the weekend and holiday care including feeding, administering treatments, verifying and administering injections when required, and cleaning and maintaining the animal colonies as well as the feed storage area, with the goal of providing consistent, high quality products and services to our customers.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Position: Small Animal Husbandry Technician
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this individual is to provide proper care and handling of the rabbits, regarding all husbandry tasks including but not limited to the daily care and feeding, cage cleaning, cage rotation, animal room cleaning, and facility maintenance, with the goal of providing consistent, high quality products and services to our customers.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Feeding, watering, and administering treatments, including observing and reporting any signs of disease/illness and help to treat minor cases of such findings
• Scraping, chipping, and dusting, of animal caging units
• Swapping/rotating animal caging units
• Disassembling/assembling, cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing all animal caging units including feeders, water bottles, and enrichment items
• Facility maintenance including, HVAC, water systems, light fixtures, etc.
• Responsible for completing accurate reports documentation records including daily maintenance sheet, room temperature log, weekly animal treatments, and monthly animal inventory
• Maintaining the rabbit breeding program
• Tattooing of rabbits
• Monthly RODAC testing, pre and post cleaning Responsible for keeping accurate inventory of supplies and material needed

Requirements:
• AALAS certification, and familiarity with USDA and AAALAC regulatory requirements a plus
• Good oral and written communication skills (English), mathematics skills, and good attention to detail are required.
• Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

Job Description:
Responsible for small and large scale production, processing of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, purification, labeling, and conjugation of proteins.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Knowledge of small and large scale production

Position: Quality Assurance Technician II
Job Description:
The QA Specialist II is responsible and accountable for quality tasks and operations. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of Quality principles, practices and procedures. Supports change control process, CAPA system, deviation process, nonconforming material process, customer complaints, supplier approval, material receiving, internal audit process and document control. Requires experience in ISO-9001/ ISO-13485 or cGMP manufacturing environment plus demonstrated familiarity with standard quality concepts.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Must be able to take a leadership role in Quality-related decisions
• Proactively ensures batch records are reviewed prior to material release, ensuring paperwork is completed accurately, neatly and fully
• Performs thorough root cause analysis and establishes in-depth and robust corrective and preventative actions for both internal non-conformances and customer complaints
• Assesses materials received against internal procedures and performs the necessary approval to release materials
• Ability to read unplanned deviations, change controls, validations and other technical documents/reports to identify errors and/or potential non-compliance issues and to assess potential product/process risk
• Complete supplier approval paperwork for new incoming suppliers
• Participate in internal audits and inspections including planning for audits, execution, and follow-up on audit findings
• Assists in the tracking and maintenance of document control activities
• Write, revise and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and custom specifications
• Become thoroughly knowledgeable of the applicable SOPs and maintain that knowledge base

Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Possess great attention to detail
• Works independently with minimal direction or oversight
• Possess general windows based computer skills, including word and excel

Education:
4yr college degree in quality/compliance related field or science-related field with 2-4 years related experience
